VCF trying to give del Horno to Deportivo
After the horror injury to left back Filipe against Athletic Bilbao, Deportivo La Coruña are looking for a replacement.
The good news for Depor is that Valecnia knows where they can find a replacement. The bad news is that that replacement is Asier del Horno.
Valencia Sporting Director Fernando Gómez called the Galician team a couple of days ago to offer the services of del Horno on loan for the rest of the season.
The big problem here would be that Depor would never be able to afford the player's wages (between ¤3.5-4 million per season). Valencia understand this though, and are willing to pay part of his salary.
Coach Miguel Ángel Lotina said yesterday that Depor is looking at two players.
"If the club can, we will make a signing. I said it last week and nothing has changed. It would be a serious problem to be without a left back. There are currently two names on the table. One of them is del Horno. I will not mention the other."
However, Lotina did deny that the other player was Real Madrid youth product Marcos Alonso.
