Playing Career - Gramanet
Carcedo started his career with Gramanet in 1995. At the end of that season they were promoted to the Segunda Division B.
RCD Espanyol
In the summer of 1995, Carcedo joined Espanyol's reserve team. He would spend time with the reserves and the first team in his only season in Barcelona.
Atletico Madrid
Carcedo left for Atletico Madrid in 1996 and played for their reserves. He scored his first professional goal with the Atletico reserve team.
OGC Nice
After three seasons in Madrid, Carcedo would move agian, this time to France with Nice. He would, however, return to Atletico for one season on loan. He would stay in France until 2002.
CD Leganes
Carcedo would play with Leganes from 2002-2004. During his time their, he would meet Unai Emery, who played with Leganes in th 2002/2003 season.
UD Las Palmas
Carcedo ended his career with Las Palmas in 2006. Carcedo was 33 when he retired from playing.
Coaching Career - UD Almeria
When Unai Emery became manager at UD Almeria in the summer of 2006, he called up his former teammate at Leganes to see if he wanted to become his assistant manager. Carcedo accepted.
Valencia CF
After two sucessful seasons, Emery would become manager of Valencia CF after the disaster that was Ronald Koeman. Carcedo would followed the Basque to Valencia as the second in command.
