Valencia CF
Ximo started his career in the Valencia youth ranks as a right back. His excellent pace, acceleration, and ball control made him deadly on the wing. When he started to train with Valencia CF Mestalla (Valencia's reserve team), manager Oscar Fernandez moved Ximo back into the right back position, which is where he now plays.
English Premiere League side Chelsea FC were reported to be interested in signing Ximo in late 2008, but Valencia signed Ximo to a contract tying him to los Che until 2013.
He made his debut for Valencia against Portugalete in the Copa del Rey on October 29, 2008, where he got an assist on a Vicente goal.
Elche CF
Ximo was sent on loan to Elche for the 2009/2010 season, where he will play with another member of Valencia CF, Thaigo Carleto.
